Q9. Can I meet the farmer?

Jason Kramer, Co-Owner of Yonder Way Farm, will drop off each order personally. If you arrive at the scheduled drop time, you can talk to him directly about the products they sell.

Q10. What’s the best way to contact the farm?

I have found the best way is to call the farm directly at 979-530-4444. Either Jason or Lynsey will answer the phone. If you have a few days to wait for an answer, you can use email at sales@YonderWayFarm.com.

Q11. Can I drive out to the farm?

Absolutely! Call before you go, so that you know that somebody is there to greet you. It’s about a two hour drive from Spring Trails.

Farmer Jason says “We find that the people that come out to the farm and see for themselves how we farm differently, become loyal and dedicated customers. We strongly encourage farm visits.”

Q12. When is the cut-off to order before the drop day?

All Orders are due the Tuesday (by Midnight) before the drop date.
Milk orders are due the Saturday (by 6:00 p.m.) before the drop date.

Q14. Is there a membership fee?

Yonder Way Farm does not charge a membership fee like traditional co-ops, but they do charge a delivery fee.

Delivery cost is 0.35 cents per pound. Customers only pay the delivery fee based on how much meat and eggs are in your individual order, not the entire group order.

If you pick up directly from the farm, the delivery fee is waived.

Q15. How do I place my first order?

1.) Send an email with your contact information (Name, Address, Contact Phone) to: sheri.distefano@gmail.com. I will send you a return email with your “Personal Spring Trails authorization code”, after I have verified your address.

2.) Place your order on www.yonderwayfarm.com . In the note section of the order, type your “Personal Spring Trails authorization code”. This code can be used for every subsequent order you place. It confirms that you are a Spring Trails Resident. Orders that do not have a “Personal Spring Trails authorization code” and are specified for Spring Trails will be re-routed to another area drop location in Houston.

3.) Pick up your order at the designated time and location. Enjoy!

Q16. I’ve been a Yonder Way Farm Customer for a while now. The drop location that I’m currently using is every two weeks; not once a month. Do I need to continue driving out to that location on the in-between weeks?

Unfortunately, you will have to do that for now. Here’s what needs to happen for that to change. Our combined community order needs to be large enough for Yonder Way Farm to consider coming every two weeks. Then, a proposal needs to be presented to the HOA board for approval on the additional days and use of the Visitor/Community Center.

If you are interested in Yonder Way Farm Drops every 2 weeks, please email: sheri.distefano@gmail.com

Q17. How will my meat /poultry order arrive?

Grass-fed beef, pastured pork, and free-range chickens will come to you vacuumed packed and (rock-hard) frozen. Each package is clearly labeled with the contents.
